Fancy is an on-demand grocery delivery company with a mission to deliver goods to customers in 30 minutes or less. The company’s end-to-end supply chain model enables them to cut out the middle-man and reach customers with thousands of products at grocery store prices, or “whatever you need, as soon as you need it”.
Fancy was founded by Arnie Englander and Jack Wilson in January 2020, and uses hyper-local dark stores as micro-fulfilment centers in order to execute their vision of bringing convenience to the UK. The company currently operates across 9 UK cities with plans to expand further following their recent acquisition by leading US last-mile delivery company Gopuff.
We spoke to Iona Ryder, Head of Internal Tech, to find out more about how Fancy will use eduMe.
We're scaling fast, and are making regular improvements to our warehouse technology. As a result, training new staff and keeping them updated with our releases has proved to be a big challenge, and something incredibly important to keep on top of. We needed a solution to help us streamline this issue as quickly as possible.
eduMe are market leaders, and we want the best. There were no better options for personnel onboarding.
Covid-19 restricted operations by limiting how hands on we could be whilst training staff. eduMe helped by allowing us to track and measure all of our staff training and pinpoint areas of vulnerability.
We also really value the time eduMe has put into helping us get as much out of the platform as possible. Training is incredibly important when you are growing quickly, and regular check-ins with their Customer Success team really helps us focus.
Fancy will initially be using our Workforce Success platform to onboard their dispersed network of riders as quickly and to the highest standard possible, maximizing workforce productivity and improving customer service.
“Workforce Success means that all of our employees are given the tools to thrive whilst they are at work. A happy workforce equals happy customers.” - Iona Ryder, Head of Internal Tech
By putting relevant learning in the palm of their hands, eduMe will enable Fancy to ensure every rider is empowered with the knowledge to delight customers from day one.
Welcome to the family, Fancy! 🚀
